Arcibal, 19, had nine points in his last 11 games before
suffering an injury late last month. The forward from Vista, Calif.,
played the last two seasons for the Texas Tornado.How did you
get into hockey?
“I played roller hockey since I was four. I played goalie and what
not. Then, when I was like 11 or 12, I switched to forward. When I
was 13 or 14 I started playing ice hockey ... You can’t really get a
hockey scholarship playing roller hockey.”
Do people confuse your first and last names?
“People always think my first name is Arcibal, just because I go by
Archie ... I’ve been called Archie for years. My dad even calls me
that.”
Your injury ended your points streak?
“It’s frustrating, you know. I just felt like I was starting to get
on the page.”
