| The Tornado made the RoadRunners believers that we are a team capable of challenging for supremacy in NAHL South. Texas beat the RR the night before 4-3 but tonight was a very low scoring game where the two goaltenders put on the show - outstanding! Dan Sullivan had the most work as Topeka put up a barrage of shots out shooting the Tornado 47-24. Justin Jones (Mueller) scored in the first period but Topeka's Alec Hagaman picked up a PP goal followed by his second and the game winner. In the third, both teams scrambled to find the back of the net and RR's goalie Evan Karambelas withstood powerful pressure from the Tornado in the final few minutes to get the win. Penalties kept the Tornado on the defense much of the night picking up 50 minutes on 17 infractions compared to the RR 22 min on 11. Sitting in the sin bin hurt our offence a lot while Topeka kept peppering Sully. We held the RR to one goal out of 11 powerplays. We simply couldn't sustain pressure on a powerful team like the RoadRunners but we still gave them everything they could handle in a game that could have gone either way.
